The lay-offs came from across the firm's departments including administration, logistics and demonstration. Although no customer-facing sales roles were cut, among the four compulsory redundancies was distributor sales manager Nigel Pope.
"Nigel did a very good job," said Filler.
Despite the need to make the cuts Filler said the business was performing "extremely well", and pointed out the rationalisation wasn't anything that competitors didn't also have to face.
He said the firm would continue to offer customers the same level of service having done a lot in the past 18 months to improve its logistics, systems, remote diagnostics and remote training.
