Sappi Europe to increase fine paper prices

The price rises are due from January 2024

Sappi Europe is set to increase prices for its fine paper grades by 7-10% from January 2024.

In a statement, the packaging and speciality paper manufacturer said the increase was being made in an effort to address ongoing cost inflation and was necessary “to maintain viability of Sappi’s business”, with the actual amount “depending on the product and market circumstances”.

“Sappi Europe remains fully committed to serving the printing business and will work closely with our customers to ensure the best possible outcome throughout the print media value chain,” it added.

Sappi Europe is a division of Sappi Ltd (JSE), headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa.
