Jeffrey, group production manager at BBC Magazines, is to return to Redwood Publishing, replacing Samad as production director.
"It was an offer she could not refuse, and we are very sad to lose her," BBC Magazines production director, Mal Skelton, said.Jeffrey will rejoin Redwood in June after eight years at BBC Magazines. She will oversee the publishers 25-strong production department and 26m print and paper spend.
Skelton said he would step into Jeffreys position for an interim period.
Redwoods Samad is to join International Magazine Services (IMS) in the newly created role of production director.
"We are pleased to have secured someone of Susannes experience," said IMS managing director Mike Taylor.
He added that Samad would be responsible for all paper and print production control. She takes up her role from 7 May.
Samad was deputy to Redwoods Niki Webb for four years when Webb was production director, prior to her appointment as senior account director (PrintWeek, 26 October 2001).
Before Redwood, Samad worked for Time magazine in the production department of its European edition.
