Printroom manager Bernard King said the press, which was ordered at Ipex from DI Solutions, was producing good copies in less than 30 sheets.
He praised the Ryobis ease of use for jobs ranging from promotional leaflets to publicity materials for training courses.
The average run length of jobs produced by the in-plant is 4,000, although runs can be as high as 20,000.
Digital data for printing is transferred to the department from Keymeds design studio, which is based at the companys nearby headquarters.
King said the key to the 3404s success was its makeready speed, with a complete job changeover taking 15 minutes.
The press colour accuracy was 100%, he added, and it could closely match Pantone colours.
The 3404s waterless technology meant reproduction quality was also superb, he added. King said the project had had teething problems but praised the technical support offered by DI Solutions.
