The exclusive deal between the firms means that Rayleigh, Essex-based RSR will underwrite the sale of a Platinum when a firm upgrades to High-Water's faster Python platesetter.  

The Platinum is renowned as being many printers' stepping-stone into CTP. "It will no doubt continue to help many more printers follow in their steps," said RSR managing director Nick Field. 

Used B3 Platinums with RIP will be priced from 13,000, with service and support being backed by both firms. "We will be providing them with full support for spares and additional technical assistance," said HighWater sales director Peter Flynn.
