The new MIS will replace three core systems for MIS, DMI and Logistics at the Netherlands-based company and will remove the need for interfaces between those areas.

Technique Group chief executive Paul Cooper said: "Due to the current climate and significant changes in the marketplace, Roto Smeets has been seeking ways to further improve its processes, even though it already has a reasonable level of automation.

Replacing the three core systems will not only reduce complexity, but will also improve stability and dramatically reduce the cost of maintenance."

The Roto Smeets sales team will be equipped with iTechnique, an app for iPhones and iPads that will enable the instant access of information.

Cooper added: "Roto Smeets has a diverse set of sites and we are delighted to be chosen to provide a common solution that meets some quite demanding requirements."
