Watford-based The Print Factory and The Colourworks in London have both signed two-year contracts to supply print to Reuters, which will create a competitive edge, according to the news information firm.
Each job that comes up will be offered to both firms for tender. Their contracts will involve printing of magazines, posters, folders, booklets, newsletters, and other bespoke printing.
The Print Factory, whose print division has a turn-over of 12m, will use a Heidelberg 102 B1 press, a B2 Speedmaster 74 press, as well as a six-colour 102 all with coaters to carry out the work.
The company recently installed a Fuji Luxel 9600 CTP system that runs like a dream, according to managing director Tom Lipman, and has also signed up for new Heidelberg kit.
