Leeds-based printer Reprovision has secured the contract to print the English Cricket Boards (ECB) rules, regulations and fixtures lists for 2001, and is planning a change of corporate identity of its own.
The ECB work comprises 3,000 copies of the First Class Rules booklets, 2,500 directories and 200,000 Cricket fixtures lists, all of which are being printed on a Heidelberg six-colour 74 DI perfector.
"I may not be much good at cricket, but I do come from Yorkshire and I have the pedigree of our famous cricketing county to think about," said Reprovision managing director Jason Clay.
Reprovision, which is in its seventh year of business, will change its name and logo next month to make it clear that it carries out printing as well as repro. A new name has not yet been confirmed.
The firm has just moved to a 980m2 site in Adwalton Business Park, Leeds, which is three times bigger than its previous site in Cleckheaton. It has also recruited eight new staff.
At the end of last year, Reprovision spent 2m on its 74 DI perfector and a four-colour Quickmaster 46 DI as well as on pre-press kit. It is looking at another Heidelberg B1 six-colour press, which it hopes to buy this year.
The firm is on target for a turnover of 2m this year after last years 1.3m.
