Repropoint wins FSC and PEFC accreditations

Repropoint has attained a pair of environmental accolades, securing Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), just weeks after moving into a new Portsmouth site.

The awards enable Repropoint, which also has branches in Woking, Guilford and Southampton, to supply products and print on material from forests which are accompanied with Chain of Custody evidence.

Steve Hallett, the firm's managing director, told printweek.com that as awareness of environmental issues grow, the twin certification shows customers that the firm is "committed" to doing what it can to meet its environmental responsibilities.

He said despite having supplied and printed on such products for some time, "our certification allows us to guarantee that we can meet the standards insisted on by customers".

Hallett added that customers could "rest assured" that the firm was now able to supply paper and print originating from timber hewn from well-managed sources.

The digital printer moved into a new 270sqm premises in December, which offered the company a "better use of space" than its previous Portsmouth site.
