Remoteproof creates a compressed file that consists of a PDF of the job and a JDF with the correct output settings.
At Ipex the firm will launch a standalone software application that works with Remoteproof and a spectrophotometer to read the proofs control strips and provide a delta E value showing its accuracy to the aim colours. Proofs will be rated as a pass or fail depending on the measured value against the aim.
Its similar to what DuPont has just launched, [iCertification, PrintWeek, 15 February], said Martin Shaw, account manager at Guideline, Bests UK distributor. But its the affordable version using a low-cost ink-jet printer.
Remoteproof will be included in all Best products from version 4.6, which will be launched next month.
