Ex-production manager Jo Carter set up Concept Personnel over three years ago in response to the region's growing need for specialist jobs in advertising, marketing and media.
According to Carter the new focus comes from the firm experiencing a surge in requests for print staff from companies such as Pre-Press Digital, BLP and Statex.
"There are 22,000 people employed across 1,200 print firms in the North East," Carter said. "So there's a real gap in the market for an agency dedicated to the industry."
Carter who started out in litho print is calling on print specialists in the North East looking for a change in direction to turn to Concept for help stating: "Print employers need skilled people in place all the way along the line."
