Its new PrintReady is a control file delivery software range for printers, designers and publishers, according to the company. They can prepare, collect and send print-ready files.
"When designers hear the word pre-flighting they generally think root canal because it?s a tedious and painful process," said the firm?s product manager for PrintReady, Joseph Schorr."PrintReady turns it into a seamless part of file submission and explains problems in plain language."
He said the software was cheaper and easier to use than other packages and saved time and money by picking up problems such as embedded fonts and missing images before they went to printers.
Prices range from 260 to 7,000 and two of the packages are aimed at large printers and publishers. The product line also has versions for designers and small firms.
"Instead of buying and installing software for each customer, you can buy one PrintReady Service Provider Edition account, customise the branding and deliver pre-flighting to every customer for less than 1,300," said the firm.
