MIS software company PrintIQ has expanded its sales team with the appointment of Rob Thurston as its new UK sales manager, after reporting significant growth.

He has taken up the role of UK sales manager following Paul Bromley’s promotion to global sales director.

Thurston joined PrintIQ from finishing equipment manufacturer Duplo, where he was head of UK sales, taking up his position on 15 August.

Bromley, whose old role Thurston has filled, said he was happy to welcome an experienced hand on board.

“[Thurston] has worked in software for most of his career and has a proven track record of putting customers first when providing software consultancy, by understanding their needs and the challenges that their businesses face,” Bromley said.

“I know our customers will enjoy his personable approach as we endeavour to provide first-class service to our growing user base.”

Thurston said: “I’m really excited to be joining the PrintIQ team at this extremely busy period of expansion.

“PrintIQ have some incredible products and is supported by a unique installation team that deliver outstanding service that is fully customer focused, and as a salesman that is hugely important when implementing a system.

“I’ll be attending The Print Show at the NEC in September and it will be great to meet up with customers old and new to discuss their requirements.”

Thurston's appointment follows several hires to PrintIQ's support team, including Chris Pack as product specialist and Anthony Hay as technical build specialist.

PrintIQ was recently acquired by Banyan Software, which specialises in the development of software businesses.
