Two directors from east London-based quality screen printer Augustus Martin have made it into The Sunday Times elite Pay List 2001.
The companys managing director, Lascelle Barrow, earned a reported 1.975m last year, which placed him at 382 in the Pay List, 10 places ahead of fellow director Barrie Dix, who received 1.9m. Both were above footballers Paul Scholes and David Ginola and TV presenter Jonathan Ross.
The highest placed print-related earner was International Greetings chief executive Anders Hedlund, who earned a staggering 6.552m. That was enough to rank him at 87th place one above David Beckham.
Jefferson Smurfit chairman and chief executive Michael Smurfit was ranked at number 24 in the list of Irish earners, with an income of 6.728m (IR8.6m).
