Jones came in at number 399 thanks to a 1.82m bonus, which took his total earnings to 2.14m, while Wallis was 458th with earnings of 1.92m. The duo faced criticism earlier this year for rejecting pay requests from staff at Waddington Labels while they earned huge bonuses themselves (PrintWeek, 7 August).
Linpac chairman Michael Cornish was ranked number three in Britain. He made 203m following the 860m sale of his family business in June to Montagu Private Equity.
Jefferson Smurfit chairman Michael Smurfit earned 8m (E11.4m), excluding income from his multi-million-pound private portfolio, and ranked 13th in the Irish earners list.
