Printed prospectus lays out Owen's plus points

Not long after Canon held its United for Growth customer event at Manchester United's hallowed Old Trafford ground, it became apparent that there was more going on at the Theatre of Dreams than print seminars and workshops.

In a shock move, out-of-contract star Michael Owen made an unexpected transfer to Manchester United and a finely-printed 32pp brochure could have helped him on his way.

The high-quality glossy piece, set out how to sell Owen - "the athlete; the ambassador; the icon" - to potential suitors. The brochure set out to dispel the notion that Owen is injury prone and to remind us all that his brand values include ‘Global', ‘Cool' and ‘Clean & Fresh', which did the trick on Sir Alex Ferguson it would seem.

One asks, would a quick moment browsing the web have had the same tangible effect on the Red Devils? Probably not. So kudos to all involved and proof enough of the power of a piece of good-quality print.
