Presstek and Creo are set to continue their battle over on-press imaging patent infringement despite a court ruling that Creos DOP system had not infringed Presstek patents.
A Delaware district court ruling on the two-year-old dispute determined that Creos imaging technology and printing presses using the technology did not infringe Pressteks on-press imaging patents.
Although the ruling also affirmed the validity and enforceability of the on-imaging patents, Presstek said it disagreed with the conclusion on infringement.
Creo has already appealed against the decision on enforceability and validity, and Presstek is now set to cross-appeal to seek a holding of infringement by the current Creo DOP system.
