Following an appeal in PrintWeek, Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens Charity (GOSHCC) has found a printer to donate its services to produce the charitys commemorative 150th birthday magazine.
The production costs for Lifeline magazine, which will be circulated to 100,000 GOSHCC supporters next month, total 13,000. It will be produced by Kidderminster-based PJR Print Services.
The magazine is normally produced three times a year but the charity wanted to produce an extra edition to celebrate its birthday.
However it didnt have the budget to cover the production costs so placed an appeal in Jos Help Line (PrintWeek, 5 October 2001).
"The support of PJR Print Systems was vital in producing this commemorative issue, which will tell the history of the hospital over the last 150 years, motivate our supporters and help boost our fundraising," said GOSHCC publications manager Suzy Sharp.
Phil Newton, who co-directs Kidderminster-based PJR with his brother Rob, said he was "delighted to be able to help the charitys work."
"We have been very successful in establishing effective partnerships with our customers and each year we like to share that success with others. Partnering Lifeline is an ideal way for us to do that," Newton added.
The magazine is scheduled to drop through supporters letterboxes on 14 February, to coincide with the day the hospital opened its doors 150 years ago.
