The latest addition, an investment in the region of 300,000, replaces a Xeikon 32i and will run alongside a Xeikon 50i and a Screen TruePress D press.
Phoenix Colour chairman Peter Davis said that he bought the press after being impressed with its capabilities at the Birmingham leg of HP's Impressions tour last year.
"The Indigo 3000 is capable of printing on double sided 350gsm stock which gives our clients the option of having material produced on heavier paper," said Davis.
"It also has personalisation and seven-colour capabilities. These are two areas I need to educate our clients on to convince them to incorporate these into their material."
He added that clients tended to use four-colour jobs while they were still unaware that campaigns could incorporate more complex personalisation using variable data.
