Perfect Colours and Epson team up at PrintWeekLive!

Wide-format kit reseller Perfect Colours will make its PrintWeekLive! debut in partnership with Epson next month, showing off a selection of the manufacturer’s wide-format printers.

Perfect Colours is planning to exhibit the SureColor SC-S80600 and SureColor SC-P10000 printers, which are designed for outdoor applications such as signage, on its stand at the Wasps Arena, Coventry, on 7-8 March.

Perfect Colours is a major reseller of Epson's technical, graphics, fabric and outdoor  machines ranges. The company also provides finishing equipment, as well as software and consumables, and managed print services, to its customers.

“We aim to be experts in large-format print, not just limiting ourselves to hardware,” said Perfect Colours sales director Jon Telling. “Our goal is to be a one-stop shop, which is something customers demand more and more, with finance solutions, workflow, and software among our other provisions.

“Epson is not very well known right now for its solvent, latex, and outdoor printing, so we are bringing these machines to PrintWeekLive! as proof of concept for visitors."

He added that a key focus will be demonstrating the range's robustness and high-quality output.

“Our working relationship with Epson is very good, and we work hard to help grow their brand and their products. Our sales have doubled year on year for some time now.”

The 64in (1.6m) SC-S80600 features Epson’s new UltraChrome GS3 nine-colour solvent ink, designed for photographic quality and durability. The SC-P10000 is 44in and prints up to 2,400x1,200dpi with a PrecisionCore Micro TPF printhead.

Both machines are available now from Perfect Colours, which also resells printers from HP, Canon, and KIP. The firm turns over £24m and employs a team of 55 staff.

In support of Perfect Colours, Epson will be running a workshop session at PrintWeekLive! focusing on profitable alternatives to web-to-print.

“We will look at what other opportunities are presented within the print industry with low-level investment,” said Epson sales development specialist Guy Martin. “Attendees will see how scalability and the power of leverage can lead to increased margins and what’s needed to enjoy a profitable future in print.”
