Omega Printopack specialises in pharmaceutical packaging and caters to around 30 pharmaceutical clients including Dabur, Alkem and Bio Chem.
Sandeep Kumar Jain, director at Omega, said: "We were looking for a machine that could perform full and spot coating, both UV and aqueous, on thin and thick papers at a decent speed. And above all, a company which could provide good after-sale service. We found the type of machine we were looking for and the after-sales assurance in Autoprint."
Omega was established in 2003 in the Jhilmil Industrial Area in New Delhi before it moved base to Haridwar. The family-owned business is managed by Jain and his brothers, Pradeep and Anuj.
The company houses two two-colour presses, Poly 266 and Adast 725, both refurnished. At present the films are processrd in the in-house plate exposing system from Memory, which produces 500 PS plates to feed the two presses.
"Upgrading to CTP is one of our future plans," said Jain, adding "the technology will help us reduce steps in plate production."
Omega runs its operations round the clock in 22,500 sq/ft covered area with around 25 people. In the last financial year, the company scored a turnover of Rs six-crore and has set Rs eight- crore as its target for the current fiscal.
