Northamptonshire-based Lonsdale Print Solutions is putting in a Nipson 7,000-400 monochrome digital press. It will use the 60m-per-minute, 480dpi web press for direct mail, scanable documents and print on demand.
It invested 200,000 in the press and associated finishing equipment, which was supplied by Friedheim International and included a sheeter and stacker, collator and MBO folder.
The firms personalised work had previously been outsourced with mixed results.
Its a marketing tool that has opened us up to new markets, said operations director Barry Hartley.
