H&H Reeds has appointed a new business development manager to support its growth plan and help accelerate its expansion, both on a local and regional level.

Jonathan Nagle started at the Penrith, Cumbria-based commercial and signage printer in the newly created role on 5 January. Based in Carlisle, he will work to generate new opportunities for the company across new territories and new markets.

Nagle has more than 20 years’ experience in sales and marketing, ten of which were at media business CN Group, which published titles including Cumbria Life magazine.

Nagle said: “I am thrilled to be joining the H&H Reeds team at such an exciting time in the company’s history. I’ll be looking to drive forward the progress made during 2020, to help us become the go-to provider for all web-development, design, print and signage solutions.

“As we are currently in lockdown I am unable to conduct any face to face meetings, so for the next few weeks I look forward to meeting our customers and new prospective clients through virtual platforms.”

The business has adapted its operations to meet the demands of its customers during the coronavirus pandemic and has expanded its presence in digital markets.

It is now increasing its focus on printing with environmentally friendly materials and inks, and on antibacterial surfaces, and Nagle’s appointment will be central to capitalising on these opportunities.

H&H Reeds managing director Andy Jackson said: “What we were looking for is an opportunity generator, and with two decades of experience in driving market share and sales, we are thrilled to have Jonathan join the team.

In May 2020 H&H Reeds acquired web development company Dotcom Associates to expand its offering beyond print and help the business better connect with its clients through different channels.

The 40-staff company also installed a Heidelberg Suprasetter A75 platesetter, a Tekcel EXR cutting and routing table from Complete CNC Solutions, and a Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer cutter from CMYUK last year.
