The NCS Group has tied up four contracts for Xerox DocuColor 2000 series digital presses in deals totalling more than 500,000.
"From the moment we saw it we knew the 2000 series was going to be a winner," said sales director Tony Newton.
"Several companies are also showing very advanced interest in the DocuColor 130s," added marketing manager Phil Dean.
The first of the machines, a DocuColor 2060 with CreoScitex Spire RIP, has been installed at north Tyneside screen and digital printer Norscreen as part of a 270,000 order.
The company is set to release details shortly of the rest of the equipment that makes up the order.
Norscreen became the first UK printer to install the Idanit Novo large-format ink-jet print system in February last year.
Newcastle-based PPD, which specialises in digital imaging work for advertising agencies, has also installed the DocuColor/ CreoScitex combination.
And Gateshead-based NB Group signed a 100,000 deal for a DocuColor 2045 complete with Spire RIP, which will form the basis of a 24-hour print bureau.
Fineline, based in Denbighshire in Wales, formed the last part of the DocuColor jigsaw by taking a DocuColor 2045 with Fiery RIP.
Last week, NCS Group became exclusive distributor for Impact Solutions Piranha Byte compression software, (PrintWeek, 16 March).
