Mtex buys HP Designjet for quality and versatility

German large-format printer Mtex said it has revolutionised its business by being able to print on "anything and everything", following the installation of an HP Designjet L25500 printer.

"We have not found anything that it can’t print without stunning results," said Hamburg-based Mtex-owner Heiko Goetz. "Anyone who runs more than a pure copyshop will love this machine."

Since installing the machine, which uses HP’s latex ink technology, Mtex has won high-end work, including in-store graphics for Porsche and photographic prints for gallery Photohaus.

Goetz said he chose HP's L25500 to replace a solvent machine due to its requirement for better quality photographic output and improved working conditions for the operators.
