Mounter's Mate becomes Keencut reseller

Finishing equipment manufacturer and supplier Mounter’s Mate has become an official reseller of the Keencut range of cutting machines for signmakers and wide-format printers.

The Marlow, Buckinghamshire-based company began selling the Keencut machines at the beginning of this month.

Mounter’s Mate general manager Omar Benmez said: “We sell other products, like large-format finishing products and applicators, and this is just an additional product to sell to our customers.

“Our customers can do part of the process with our laminators, then move on to the next stage with the Keencut, so, for example, they could make a graphic, then trim it out with the Keencut range,” he added.

Mounter’s Mate will be supplying the full range of wide-format cutting machines, including the Javelin Series 2, SteelTrak and Evolution E2.

Benmez, who has been general manager since Mounter’s Mate was founded four years ago, said he was particularly excited by the Evolution E2, which retails between £680-£1,330 depending on size. It comes in five sizes, ranging from 1.6-3.6m, and has a number of interchangeable tools. He referred to it as the “most popular panel cutter sold in the graphics industry”.

The single-head Javelin Series 2, meant for pop-up displays, costs around £546 and the SteelTrak, for heavy duty vertical signs, is the most expensive in the range, retailing from £1,972.

The machines will be distributed to Mounter's Mate's Buckinghamshire site by Nottingham-based distributor ArtSystems.

He added: “Not only will this deal supply us with an additional revenue stream but it will also supply a more varied product range for our customers. We are looking at boosting loyalty levels from our customers.”

Benmez believes the new products can boost Mounter's Mate's £1.5m turnover by the end of this financial year.

Mounter's Mate employs 10 staff and in the next few months will be launching a number of new flatbed applicators and laminators, although Benmez didn't give any more detail.
