Cassandra Moulton, who has been the company secretary and a manager at the business for the past three years, has taken on the role of director as part of a phased handover from her father and current managing director David Moulton, who plans to retire in the next five years.
Meanwhile, Helen Moulton has returned to the Blackpool-based family business, which she last worked for as a teenager, after nine years as a marketing manager at Washington Green Fine Art, where she ran a variety of marketing campaigns for several high profile artists.
Speaking to PrintWeek, she said: "It is wonderful to return to my family's business. It has changed so much since I worked here as a teenager. The advent of digital media was only just emerging, whereas now it is a direct competitor with traditional printing styles. What we are trying to do at Moulton is showing clients how digital and print marketing can complement each other."
She added: "Working in fine art, the emphasis is on high quality printing. I learnt that detailed and well-designed literature could be vital to a marketing campaign. I intend you apply this principle to our work at Moulton."
The Blackpool-based printer, which employs eight people, added digital printing to its existing B2 and A2 Sakurai offset presses in late 2012, with the installation of a Konica Minolta Bizhub C5501.
Cassandra Moulton said: "Our industry is unique in its heritage, creativity and innovation. I have no doubt that the next few years will see the printing business undergo a shift in how we see ourselves and the role our products and services play."
