MoDo Merchants has launched Paper Football, a fantasy football league competition based on the performance of the FA Carling Premierships finest players.

Marketing director Vince Collins said firms or individuals didnt even have to buy paper from MoDo to play.

Collins, who announced the competition at Chelsea Football Club along with former Chelsea captain Ron Harris, said prizes would be awarded to the top performing team every month, with a grand prize of up to 2,000 of Capital Incentive vouchers for the overall winner.

Participants will be given a fixed budget and a set of guidelines with which to select their team.

Depending on the amount of entries, divisions will be created at the end of the first month, along with relegation and promotion issues.

Prizes of 750 in vouchers for overall second place and 250 in vouchers for overall third place will be available to winners.

Participants will be e-mailed or faxed every Monday during the season with an update on how their team is performing.

Entries need to be with MoDo Merchants by 3 August.
