Management at Barco Graphics are planning an MBO of the business, in a deal which will be backed by Cinven Partners.
Barco Graphics is a division of the 433m (Euro710m) turnover Barco Group, based in Belgium and listed on the Brussels stock exchange.
The Graphics wing encompasses software and computer-to-plate systems for packaging and commercial printers, and the firms new foray into "industrial" digital printing announced at Drupa.
In a statement Barco said it expected a definitive agreement to be reached during December.
