Two separate companies have risen from the demise of Mann Redfern, the Wakefield used machinery dealer which went into receivership earlier this month.
Michael Mann, former Mann Redfern chairman, has set up Mann Machinery, while Ken Redfern has established Redfern Converting.
Three former Mann Redfern engineers have set up their own company, Install, which will work for both firms.
Redfern Converting will deal with paper mills, finishing and converting kit, while Mann will concentrate on direct mail and business forms equipment.
"We are finding that
customers are less inclined to buy 1970s' machinery and re-build it," said Redfern.
