Lucknow-based Galaxy Press expands with a Rs 7-crore infusion into its print production plant

Galaxy Press (GPPL) a company accredited with ISO 9000-2001 and specialising in scratch card production and commercial printing has embarked on an expansion plan with an investment of Rs 7-crore in unit and machinery.

The ongoing expansion includes recent additions of two two-colour Adast Dominant 526 press; two Pratham folding machines along with three personalisation machines from Asceptic technology and two Jet Pack Automatic machine with four side card packing and three envelope making machines for producing ATM envelopes and SIM card pouches.

"With these machines, we make 1.25 lakh SIM pouches per day and can produce 3-lakh ATM envelopes per day," said Pankaj Gupta managing director of GPPL.

Gupta added: "Everything has fallen in place as envisaged. For us qualitative excellence is the prime mover of a business. Quantitative success invariably follows.

"Loaded with customer loyalty, we are geared to and offering specific print and packing solution for major telecom recharge cards on an end-to-end basis."

The company serves BSNL across Assam, Guwahati, Chennai and Patna. Other major telecom clients include Vodafone, Bharti Airtel, Tata Teleservices, Idea Cellular, Nokia, Aircel Dishnet served across Pune, Mumbai, UP, Chandigarh, Bihar and Jaipur.

GPPL exports print products to countries like South Africa, Kenya and Bangladesh.

The company has an installed capacity of scratch card production of six lakh (one-in-one), 15 lakh (two-in-one), 21 lakh (four-in-one) and 20 lakh labels per day (ten-in-one) and prints 50-cr pins (each pin has four scratch cards) per annum.

GPPL announced that its CTP feeds its array of presses which include a single colour Autoprint and Dominants along with two four-colour Adast.
