Print Associates in Leeds has been fined 2,500 for breaching safety regulations after an employee caught his hand in a press.
Leeds magistrates heard that printer Ian Murdoch needed skin graft treatment after his rubber gloves became caught in the ink rollers when he was cleaning the press.
Safety checks at the plant had now been upgraded, the court heard.
The company declined to comment.
