What was the project? The Redhill branch of the vehicle-wrapping specialist carried out the job for Thorpe Park acting on behalf of visitor attraction firm Hollyer Projects.
How was the job produced? The five-strong team created a montage of 10 characters dancing around the base of the giant teapot and more of the cloth-capped Yorkshire tea fanatics in fun poses around the 12 cups, looking as if they were falling over as the cups were swirled round.
What challenges were overcome? According to Scott Coleman, director at the Redhill and Enfield branches of Totally Dynamic, the job was equally challenging and rewarding.
He said: "We used gloss white vinyl and superimposed the cracks, the characters and everything else on top of it. The cups were 3.5m in diameter at the top, but only 1.75m at the bottom, so we were essentially working in three dimensions, which is really tricky with a flat surface."
The job took five people to get underway on the first day then three people working constantly at it for the next four days. For space reasons, the ride could not be removed from Thorpe Park, Chertsey, so all production had to take place on site.
What was the feedback? Feedback has been wholly-positive. Hollyer Projects managing director Richard Hollyer, said Totally Dynamic was always at the top of his list when vinyl wrapping is involved.
"Thanks to Scott and his dynamic team, the project was completed in record time… and looks Tea-rrific," he added.
