The UK-based packaging pre-press outfit will put staff on site to carry out file receipt and pre-flighting, with links to its sites in Mold and Dublin.

Keating Group chairman Mike Keating said: "Hopefully this is a prelude to more work in Scandinavia."

The Drammen site produces flexible packaging and laminates for food using gravure. Cylinders for the site are engraved at Amcor Flexibles' Lund site in Sweden.

In addition to providing pre-flight, Keating said the firm was fingerprinting the plant's presses to ensure that once cylinders got on press the job was produced to a higher quality and more quickly.

Amcor Flexibles is headquartered in the UK and operates 46 plants worldwide.
