JC ran into trouble after it was hit by a scam. It supplied consumables to Nigeria via a London-based front company but was not paid. Keane managing director Eric Keane said JC was profitable and would operate as a subsidiary.
Last Friday (29 November) Poppleton & Appleby made 10 of the company's staff redundant, but the remaining employees will remain at the firm.
"We plan for the company to stay in the area and the name will be retained," said Keane.
JC director Ray Crooke has joined Litho Supplies, one of the company's other suitors, as a sales rep.
