KBA refreshes service offering with tailored approach

KBA UK has reorganised its service, support and consumables sales operations as printers increase their focus on getting maximum productivity from their presses.

A new range of service packages can be tailored based on the machines being operated, utilisation and level of cover required ranging from breakdown cover to extended warranties.

Andrew Pang has returned to his former role as director of service of sheetfed presses to oversee this. It follows three years spent establishing the firm’s approved consumables division.

"Every KBA press is built to the exact specification of the buyer and the same will now be true when it comes to service; in the modern domestic print market there is no such thing as standard," said Pang.

Klaus Loch, who was heading up the whole service operation, has a revised role looking after web press service and takes on additional responsibilities for the service of metal decoration presses and air purification equipment, which was previously handled by the firm’s German headquarters.

Stephanie Nicklin has been promoted to Pang’s previous role as director of consumables operations. In addition to reorganising the management structure of the support operations KBA has also recruited additional service account managers.
