The West Midlands-based firm, which has built upon its B3 offering, has stopped outsourcing SRA2-sized work thanks to the Sakurai OL 566SD.
JPL Print and Design co-owner Jim Lynch said the move into B2 in one step "was too big", but that the SRA2 machine "fitted the bill really well".
The press has also opened up new revenue streams for the printer, which can now produce long-run brochures in addition to 2pp A4 leaflets and business cards.
Lynch told printweek.com: "It's helped us take on long-run work that previously wouldn't have been competitive for us to do so. It's a cracking machine.
"We would occasionally send work out, but preferred to steer clear as it was a timely exercise and often unreliable. The new kit has got rid of that," said Lynch
The 10-year-old firm also runs two Heidelberg Speedmasters, a two-colour SM 52 and a five-colour SM 52.
