The posters beam song clips, photos and ringtones straight to mobile phones. South London-based McKenzie Clark produced posters for the Manchester and Oxford Street, London branches of HMV.
They were printed on self-adhesive vinyl using a Durst Rho printer. The technology behind the posters was created by Cambridge-based firm Hypertag.
Hypertags are short range wireless devices that are able to transmit using both infra-red and Bluetooth.
