According to financial director David Snow, the new press, which can handle substrates from 0.04-0.6mm thick, has increased capacity at the firm "immensely" and opened up new markets for the commercial printer.
The 15,000sph B2 five-colour press replaces two Roland presses, a four- and two-colour.
"The Diamond was up and running on time and the training was first class," said managing director Philip Twidale. "The minders love the machine's seemless makereadies and operator friendliness."
Other parts of the 1m turnover Hereford-based firm's spend included a Cobalt-4 B2 platesetter from Esher-Grad, to produce plates for the new press, and a move to a new 700m purpose-built factory.
