Liverpool-based BEC currently distributes Ricoh kit, but Imagistics plans to expand the operation. BEC focuses on fax machines, copiers and printers and has an annual turnover of 3.5m with 25 staff.
"BEC is a tightly operated and financially viable business," said Imagistics marketing and communications manager Bob Bishop. "We will now look to push on and grow the company."
Imagistics hinted at a move into north-west England last month and the BEC acquisition comes after the firm purchased Rentokil Office Solutions, giving Imagistics a presence in the Midlands.
