ImageData Group has enhanced its print capabilities after investing in a Xerox Iridesse for its Brighton small-format printing operation.

The features of the Iridesse, which was installed in August and replaced a Xerox Versant 2100, will enable the company to provide faster turnarounds while increasing its productivity.

The machine’s additional colours, including white, clear, silver, gold, and fluorescent pink will meanwhile boost the vibrancy and creative possibilities the business can achieve for its clients.

ImageData operations director Jason Vivian said the installation marked “an exciting chapter” for the company, which also operates two Xerox Nuveras and two iGen 150s from the manufacturer at the Brighton site.

“Our investment in the Xerox Iridesse not only signifies our dedication to remaining at the forefront of print technology, but also our commitment to adding value to our clients’ projects,” he commented.

“By delivering a broader spectrum of colours and enhanced automation, we are poised to expand our market presence and offer our clients a truly unparalleled printing experience.”

Nick Bridge, general manager of Xerox Production, added: “We have nurtured a long and successful relationship with ImageData, and this investment is testament to that, supported by the excellent work of both ImageData and Xerox’s local teams.

“ImageData’s true investment is not only in the press but in the wider Xerox ecosystem, which includes support, training, and business development.

“The Xerox Iridesse is a revolutionary digital printing technology that offers an expanded colour range and is driven by highly advanced automation features, setting a new standard for print quality and efficiency in the modern era.”

Last December ImageData, which also has sites in Willoughby and Howden, installed an EFI Vutek Q5r UV LED roll-to-roll printer at the Howden site.

In 2021 the business turned over £13.5m and employed just over 150 staff, according to documents filed at Companies House.
