I-Sub Digital to triple premises size after 10 years in business

Wide-format equipment and supplies seller I-Sub Digital is tripling the size of its premises as it celebrates 10 years of being in business.

The new building, also in Kettering, Northamptonshire, will have more space for exhibiting and demonstrating I-Sub’s range of products, which include Epson, Dgen, Mimaki and EFI Reggiani printers, finishing equipment from Zünd and Vivid, plus a range of Metamark and Soyang consumables.

Director and co-founder Andy Spreag did not reveal when the company would move into the new building, or its size. He is planning to recruit up to three new members of staff to join the 13 already at the company. He said the move was concrete proof of how hard the I-Sub team had worked over the past 10 years.

He said a decade of trading success came down to “doing a good job” and building relationships.

“We deliver what we say we are going to deliver. We get new customers all the time but our return customers are buying their third, fourth or fifth machine. Technology has changed. 10 years ago UV printing was in its infancy. It’s now developed and become a bit more mature.

“The desktop machines are very popular at the moment, the Mimaki UJF for example, but we have no single range of products that stands out. Our customers have been enabling us to grow our business. We can offer them new technology, new applications. We can grow with them.”

The company was established in 2005 by Spreag and two other founder directors, and was originally based in Lutterworth, Leicestershire with its sister company I-Sub Ltd before moving to larger premises in Kettering in 2009.

Since 2005 I-Sub Digital has worked with Mimaki and its UK distributor Hybrid Services, Zünd and Agfa. This year it added Digi-Foil, a digital foiling system for the creation of packaging prototypes, personalised products and security markings, which has helped I-Sub Digital to expand its customer base to include design agencies and packaging businesses, as well as help existing wide-format print customers diversify.

The company is planning a series of open days at the new premises to which it will invite customers.
