High demand prompts laminator investment

Commercial printer Barker's Print has improved its efficiency by bringing lamination in house with a Komfi Amiga 36 from IFS.

According to managing director Colin Barker, the company has seen lamination increase considerably.

He said: "We had so many requests for work to be laminated that it made sense to bring it in house. Not sending work out makes response times a lot quicker."

Barker also said that the Norfolk-based company, which currently uses the machine for short run leaflets and brochures, was intending to market its capabilities in the near future.
