Greenleaf to take on Trumps

Greenleaf FM, part of the Paul Green Printing Group, has acquired the assets and goodwill of print and design business Trumps in a 500,000 deal from its administrative receiver, saving 23 jobs.

Managing director Paul Green said his main interest was to expand digital print and point-of-sale, which Greenleaf specialises in. Green is pursuing further acquisitions. "There are still businesses out there that need to be merged or acquired," he said.

Green plans to expand Trump's client base and revenues aiming to increase Greenleaf's sales by 1m to 4m by August 2006. Ware-based Trumps went into administration on 17 June, with insolvency practitioner David Rubin & Partners.

The new company will operate as Trumps Design and Print, from two sites in Ware and Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.

Trumps went into administration mainly due to current market conditions, which had resulted in its margins being squeezed. Trumps clients include a supermarket. Paul Green Printing's clients include Invesco, Lloyds TSB, HSBC, London Business School and Cornhill Direct.

The East London-based firm was established in 1981 and specialises in B1 sheetfed printing.
