Grafenia launches Nettl Alliance

Grafenia chief executive Peter Gunning has written an ebook to launch the group’s new Nettl Alliance offering.

Gunning unveiled the book at the IPIA’s Big Breakfast online networking event this morning (11 March), where he spoke about how the pandemic had turned life upside down for many businesses and individuals in the industry and said 2020 "must go down as the worst year on record".

The ebook is provocatively titled Choose Your Hard and details how different types of print businesses and creatives can engage with the Nettl community and the services it offers.

Gunning told Printweek: “The industry has taken such a battering. We just believe that working together makes sense. Going it alone is hard.

“We want to work with the brightest and the finest. With Nettl Alliance, we’ve opened the doors to makers, designers, sellers and entrepreneurs. Doesn’t matter if you’re a printer, a fabricator, a creative or a marketer. There’s a place for you in our community,” he explained.

“I came across a quote, ‘choose your hard’ and I couldn’t keep my hands off it. It’s really common to see sales puff about making your life easier. Instant success. Ten minute abs. Five minute abs.

“The point of the book is, doing the same thing every day is hard. Trying a new system is hard. Getting your team to change is hard. Life is hard. Nothing is easy. But if one path leads to a greater chance of success, shouldn’t you take that one?”

Around 80 people from across the industry joined this morning’s event, which will now take place on a fortnightly basis with the next session on 24 March.

Grafenia also owns the Marqetspace trade printing business.
