The Peterborough-based company has bought a CardXtra, a Foldnak 8 bookletmaker and trimmer and an Uchida collator.
According to company's partners Peter Martyr and George Prickett, GP Print enjoyed a successful 2008 but its goal was now to build on that during this year by broadening its offerings – particularly looking into "added value" products.
Martyr said: "Our expanded bookletmaking capacity is proving a big hit with customers. The CardXtra has given us a new revenue stream by making business card production easier, faster and more profitable."
GP Print is currently in discussions with Morgana about further expanding finishing capacity through the installation of a DigiCoater micro-format UV coater.
Earlier this month, the company announced it was opening its business up to short-run work with an investment in a Presstek 34DI digital offset press.
