Chief executive Robert Brown has 20 years experience in the industry and was formerly the president and chief executive of Heidelberg Web Systems in the US.
He said the Goss name was "one of the best known in the printing industry, and certainly the one with the widest geographic recognition in the global newspaper press systems market".
Brown replaces interim chief executive Joe Gaynor, who continues at the company as chief finance officer.
Edward Padilla, one of the founders of the Goss Metro Users Association, has been appointed as Goss new chairman.
