Two more print procurement websites have emerged into an increasingly crowded marketplace, but go-yoyo.com and diyprint.com both claim to offer unique services.
Go-yoyo.com said that its site offers the user a much wider selection of suppliers from across Europe than competitors, while matching the buyers criteria to a small selection of printers. "We offer an active phonebook that matches both sides wishes," said go-yoyo.com managing director Jrgen Koefoed.
Diyprint.com stressed that it was not auction-based, and that a customers order would be sent to only one printer that specialises in one type of work.
Diyprint.com pre-arranges terms and prices with a printer that specialises in a certain type of work, making margin from the buyer. Go-yoyo.com said that printers will pay no commission until after October, after which the rate will be 1-2%.
