The hand-held Dot Shot Pro applies glue for sticking covermounts like CDs and credit cards and is targeted at contract packers and printers with in-house finishing.
"The pressure-sensitive glue is safer for operatives than using a hot-melt glue," said Colin Bennett, the firm's managing director.
"An ergonomic and triggerless design makes it safe for repetitive use. Unlike a glue gun there is no need for electricity and there are no potential safety hazards like cords or plugs."
Users roll the Dot Shot Pro over a surface to apply a dot from a role inside the dispenser drum.
"It saves time because it is easier to take the dot to the item than the item to a dot dispenser or machine."
Firms like Gillette were already using the gadget, costing 30, he said.
