Cardiff-based print group Gardners has developed what it claims is the worlds first all-aluminium outdoor poster campaign for the Audi A2 aluminium car.
Gardners used a sublimation technique that applies printed film images to metals at high pressure and temperature. The patented Armurad process used 30 tonnes of aluminium from Corus in South Wales, and the posters occupy over 300 roadside UK billboards.
Gardners operates two companies, Gardners Screen Process Printers and Gardners Digital.
